10th Anniversary of Round-the-Clock Fire at Tapovan

Bruce Johnson writes about the 10th Anniversary of Round-the-Clock Fire at Tapovan
On 25th March 2011 we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of 24 hour round-the-clock Om Tryambakam Homa Fire at Tapovan in north Maharashtra state of western India. Several places in various countries have witnessed similar round-the-clock fire over the past 30 years or more.
With ceaseless effort a small group of dedicated people, inspired by the teachings of the Great Master Shree Gajanan Maharaj and His humble disciple, Shree Vasant, have maintained this blessed Fire for the benefit of Mother Earth and the whole of humanity. And as the natural and man-made catastrophes intensify in both magnitude and frequency this fire will assume greater importance now.
Shree Vasant once said, "Only through FIRE can the planet be healed. Through intense practice of YAJNYA (Homa) a reverse trend can take place. IT IS A RACE AGAINST THE CLOCK." For those wishing to offer their support please contact:

Photos above show Mr. Tryambak Kankhare (Bua) and Mr. Prabhakar Patil (Nana) who anchor the round-the-clock fire by doing the night-time hours. Each night, each man does 6 hours Yajnya and has done this continuously for the past 10 years.

Other photos above show Mr. Abhay Paranjpe with his wife Anjaly, Mr. Sanjay Patil with his wife Manisha during the ceremony and Bruce Johnson with his wife Anne Godfrey, the Tapovan care takers at Agnihotra time.

Experiences with Agnihotra in India

Dilip Patil writes from India:
I have so many experiences with Agnihotra and its healing ash. My father was 67 years old when he had an accident while traveling on a motorbike and he broke his leg. The leg was also swollen. He went to several doctors and took medicines for 6 to 7 months. He did not feel any improvement with their treatment. So I told him to perform Agnihotra, take Agnihotra ash orally and apply Agnihotra ash with ghee. Finally he decided to do it. Within 3 days the problem was solved and he started to walk easily. Water Quality Purification through Homa Therapy

Study by Dr Shailendra Sharma
Principal of Adarsh Institute of Management & Science, Dhamnod, MP, India
(Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Indore)

The River Narmada is the most important river of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The Narmada basin lies between longitude East 72º32’ to 81º45’ and the latitude North 21º20’ to 28º45’. It is the only non snow fed perennial river in India. Narmada River water is mainly used for irrigation, drinking, fishery, generation of electricity and domestic purposes.

Some physical-chemical parameters were studied to determine the quality of its water. Pollution is the biggest problem nowadays, it affects the atmosphere, soil and our water resources. This experiment demonstrates the effect of Homa Therapy – based on the ancient science of Vedas which offers solutions to reduce the pollution in our environment and of the water resources.

These are some preliminary studies about the efficacy of the Homa method, comparing the river water in 4 different sampling sites (S1 – S4) of the Narmada river region. Water samples were collected on monthly intervals in clean polythene containers and preserved according to standard method (APHA 2002) and brought to the laboratory for various physical-chemical analysis.
