The Effect of Energy Field of Agnihotra on Water Purification
Submitted by bruce on Thu, 03/12/2015 - 11:55
![]() |
Dr Ulrich Berk from Germany has conducted several scientific experiments with Agnihotra.
One experiment was conducted at the Homa Therapy Goshala in Maheshwar, MP, India in 2013. The experiment is important because it shows that there is an energy field around Agnihotra which causes the purification effect in water and this energy is not of the known electromagnetic type. So it poses the question: "What is this energy, if it is not electromagnetic?"

The New Almanac - Importance and Significance of Dassera
Submitted by bruce on Fri, 10/03/2014 - 09:53
![]() |
The dawning of the new Golden Age (Satya Yuga) will be accompanied by the gradual adoption of a new almanac, a new calendar. Just as 25th December and Easter are important Christian festival dates in the west and Krishna's birthday and Buddha's birthday are important festivals for the Hindus and Buddhists respectively of the east, so too will certain dates assume greater significance in later times.
One of these dates of new significance will be the birthday of Kalki Avatar (Parama Sadguru Shree Gajánan Maháráj of Akkalkot, India). In 1918, the year of Shree's birth, this day fell on 17th May. May 17 is also the day on which Jesus delivered His sermon on the mount. This date is already assuming some significance in western countries at places where Shree's message of Agnihotra and Fivefold Path are followed. Also, December 25th, traditionally celebrated as Jesus's birthday, was the day in 1941 when Shree's universal mission was revealed to Him by Divine will. |

Agnihotra in the Harijan colonies of Kharagpur, West Bengal, India
Submitted by bruce on Thu, 05/08/2014 - 11:30
In February, 2014 Abhay Paranjpe and Sanjay and Manisha Patil (photo right) visited the birthplace of Parama Sadguru Shree Gajanan Maharaj in Kharagpur, West Bengal.
Two families (the families of Gauri Shankar and Subodh Das) maintain the practice of Agnihotra in the Railway Quarter where Sonamata (mother of Parama Sadguru) used to stay with her father when she visited Kharagpur.
This Railway Quarter is quite close to the colony of Harijans (so-called 'Untouchables') in whose houses the great Saint Upasani Baba was residing in the year 1913. Part of His mission was to eradicate the curse of Untouchability which was destroying the fabric of Hindu society. Sonamata used to go with her father to this Harijan colony to feed and care for the poor. It was there at the age of thirteen, that Sonamata met her Guru, Upasani Baba. Five years later on May 17th 1918 she gave birth to the Light of the World.

On September 21 & 22, 2013 Agnihotra practitioners from around the globe participated in a network of Agnihotra being performed on the September Equinox. The aim was to create a grid of Sacred Fires or 'firing the grid' and to ideally have two waves of Agnihotra fires moving around the planet (one for sunrise, one for sunset).
We received many responses from people all over the world informing their coordinates. We were amazed to find every continent represented, and people from Alaska to Africa, from Europe to U.S.A., Australia to Russia, Japan to Hawaii. There were more than 450 Meridiens of Longitude represented with Agnihotra Fires in more than 50 countries. There may have been more that we were unaware of.

HHOOFING!
Submitted by taylor on Wed, 10/10/2012 - 12:50
What is HHOOF? HHOOF is an acronym for Homa Helpers On Organic Farms. This is a spin-off of Willing Workers On Organic Farms, an organization that links volunteers to organic farm hosts. Volunteers work in exchange for room and board and the opportunity to experience farm life. A Homa farm is a very specific type of farm that incorporates Vedic healing fires, vegetarian diet and ahimsa (non-violence) practices that create a unique experience for the volunteer. They blend the physical, social and spiritual worlds into one interconnected happening.
