  • My Visit to Australia and Om Shree Dham

We received the following story from Patty Powers:

In March, 2014 I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Australia and visit Om Shree Dham in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia.

I found that the longer I stayed at Om Shree Dham, the more I felt its similarity to our Homa community in Madison, Virginia, as if the two were sister communities. The routine of morning and evening Agnihotra, Homas at 10 A.M., noon and 3 P.M., and an hour of Yajnya daily helped me feel right at home. (more…)

  • Agnihotra for Japan

Maki Obokata (left), flew in from Japan to spend time at Om Shree Dham to refine her Agnihotra and Om Tryambakam Homa practice and to update herself in applying ash medicine as protection and antidote to radioactivity and in particular to share this with others in Japan.

She visited Om Shree Dham previously and returned to Japan just before the earthquake/tsunami took place in 2011. She was ever so grateful to have come across Agnihotra as she was suddenly finding herself in dire need of the protection which Agnihotra and ash medicine offers against radioactivity. She also wanted to help the people of Japan. We sent an Agnihotra kit to Maki in the mail and also regularly ash medicine to distribute. (more…)

  • Firing the Grid – Agnihotras around the World on September Equinox, 2013

On September 21 & 22, 2013 Agnihotra practitioners from around the globe participated in a network of Agnihotra being performed on the September Equinox. The aim was to create a grid of Sacred Fires or ‘firing the grid’ and to ideally have two waves of Agnihotra fires moving around the planet (one for sunrise, one for sunset).
We received many responses from people all over the world informing their coordinates. We were amazed to find every continent represented, and people from Alaska to Africa, from Europe to U.S.A., Australia to Russia, Japan to Hawaii. There were more than 450 Meridiens of Longitude represented with Agnihotra Fires in more than 50 countries. There may have been more that we were unaware of. (more…)

  • Staying at Om Shree Dham Homa Farm, Hunter Valley, Australia

Karuna Coleman sent the following report:

I moved in to Om Shree Dham on 14th January, 2013, knowing that I had issues that I wanted to break free from.

After 4 months of Agnihotra and other Homa Fires, joining in on ongoing Tryambakam Fires for Full and New Moons, an organic vegetarian diet and living in the special tranquility that Homa creates in nature, with Grace holding my hand, I broke through a major core issue that I had been running from for some time and didn’t even realize what an intense influence it was having on my life, from decision-making to relationships. The breakthrough was so profound it has changed my life.

I am confident, free and at peace within myself and very clear. (more…)

  • Homa Therapy Workshops in Victoria, Australia

An Agnihotra tour and Homa Therapy workshops were held in Victoria in early May. Maryann Billian from the Baltimore Homa Community in the U.S. and Joshua Hoare, Agnihotri from Melbourne assisted Lee on the tour. It was lovely to share the experience, always highly inspiring and enriching.

Stops included Peter Noblet’s Ayurvedic Healing Centre in Highett, Torquay in Leonie’s home (attended by many young families), Trudy’s place in Kyneton, and Tania Kavathas’s home in Croydon. Tania is an Art of Living teacher. (more…)

  • Agnihotra for Balance

    Richard from Western Australia writes:

“My partner Sian taught me Agnihotra in March, 2012. I found doing Agnihotra took a measure of precision, practice and dedication to get right. When you do, it’s an amazing practice that, done diligently, reaps many rewards. Sian and I typically perform two fires, as we have a pyramid each. It’s a beautiful practice to do together. (more…)

  • HHOOFING!

What is HHOOF? HHOOF is an acronym for Homa Helpers On Organic Farms. This is a spin-off of Willing Workers On Organic Farms, an organization that links volunteers to organic farm hosts. Volunteers work in exchange for room and board and the opportunity to experience farm life. A Homa farm is a very specific type of farm that incorporates Vedic healing fires, vegetarian diet and ahimsa (non-violence) practices that create a unique experience for the volunteer. They blend the physical, social and spiritual worlds into one interconnected happening.
