What is HHOOF? HHOOF is an acronym for Homa Helpers On Organic Farms. This is a spin-off of Willing Workers On Organic Farms, an organization that links volunteers to organic farm hosts. Volunteers work in exchange for room and board and the opportunity to experience farm life. A Homa farm is a very specific type of farm that incorporates Vedic healing fires, vegetarian diet and ahimsa (non-violence) practices that create a unique experience for the volunteer. They blend the physical, social and spiritual worlds into one interconnected happening.

Mrs Lucia Boero wrote about the encounter in the Elqui Valley, Chile:

"We undertook the second Homa Elqui Valley Pilgrimage with great joy. It took place in the Cochiguaz Valley (latitude 30 degrees South). This special place was visited by Shree Vasant many times and it is considered a magnetic center that plays a special role in this New Era. Like all spiritual pilgrimage, the work is the ‘going within.’ Everyone has different experiences on the road and different challenges may emerge. But this place, with its huge mountains, can cure many things."

We have received amazing responses that show the "awakening" of the spirit in times of these great challenges. These are some excerpts of some breath-taking realizations happening in the midst of chaos:

To have the opportunity of visiting this planet's three Points of Light is undoubtedly a wonderful experience, a marvelous opportunity for exploring our thoughts, our feelings and also for clearing any doubts that we may have--those doubts that just assault us, from time to time, without warning!

I would like to share my very personal views and experiences of each of these points. I want to explain how they have helped me not only to confront my demons, but also to almost touch the divine with my senses—the divine inside of each of us that sometimes (or most of the time) in our life we escape from.

During the month of July, a course on Sanskrit was held at the Eco Homa Farm of Luis and Kika Valenzuela in Olmue, Chile. Carlos Bustamante was the instructor; he is a University professor of Physics and a Sanskrit Scholar. He teaches at various Universities in Chile.

We have had a lot of work to do in the cabins, physical and psychological work.

In 1991, exactly at 12:00 P.M. on Christmas eve, Vedic mantras and healing fires were performed for the first time on a small island of Chile called Port Williams. This is at the most southern end of South America, where people live under extreme climatic conditions.
