Ellen sitting for Agnihotra

Our Agnihotra Enlightenment Journey.
It was at the end of 2020 that I first saw an Agnihotra Fire. It was a post my friend Jayne Madhu had put on Facebook. Something instantly attracted me to this Fire. I am normally quiet sceptical, but I felt a deep urge to contact Jayne to find out more. I even had a dream to do so. So it was from there our journey began. Jayne organized for us to learn more. We went to Om Shree Dham and met Lee & Frits. Such lovely welcoming people. We bought an Agnihotra kit to try.

Instant reduction in WIFI EMF radiation in our home
I had bought an EMF meter prior because I was suffering intense migraines every day for many years. The radiation levels in our house were between 100 -200 mG. I was not a full believer at this time as I always like to research new ideas and find proof for myself. We took Agnihotra seriously and performed 2 sunrise and 1 sunset Agnihotra fires in the first few days. Then I tried the EMF digital reader. I was Absolutely shocked! It didn’t go higher than 0.003! It gave me goose bumps, I even changed the batteries thinking it was faulty. Mark, my partner, didn’t believe me, till he saw it for himself. To our surprise Agnihotra made the high radiation levels in our house disappear!!

It has been around six months we have been performing Agnihotra. These are the other benefits we have seen in this time:
My Chronic migraines have healed completely.
Our relationship and love for one another has become stronger, not only with us but with our children also.

Mark performing Agnihotra

Our Lemon trees had diseases for 6 years and after adding Agnihotra ash they are now cured!
This year they produced the most abundant crop we have ever seen!

Before Agnihotra in our life

After Agnihotra in our life

All our Vegetables and Herb gardens have flourished.
We are still picking red tomatoes and pumpkins in winter.

Our family of 5 have all experienced powerful healing benefits from Agnihotra ash.
I have used the ash in my bath water mixed with Himalayan salts. I make a medicinal salve with Agnihotra ash, eucalyptus and coconut oil, as a natural vaporub and antiseptic cream.

Agnihotra has helped us all become very in tune & intuitive.
It has made communication so much easier. We have received a lot of good luck and have had very meaningful coincidences happen to us.

I was amazed to see Buddha in our Fire

I Highly recommend Agnihotra healing Fire to anyone! The benefits we have seen in only 6 months has literally changed our lives for the better. I am so thankful to Jayne, Lee & Frits for sharing with us a much needed healing ancient tradition. We look forward to our Fires. They always leave us feeling completely happy and healed. Thank you for listening to our experiences with Agnihotra Fires. ( Ellen and Mark live locally to Om Shree Dham in the Hunter Valley)

Karen Cleveland performing Om Tryambakam Homa in the cow dung drying facility at Om Shree Dham

Karen: My experience with Agnihotra is that it has been a God send. I have more clarity, peace and discernment. There is more harmony and openness in family interactions. I have been able to let go of fear and come from a more centred place. What a blessing in these times, to have awareness of what is happening in the world and at the same time maintain a centred state.

I used to get migraines a couple of times a month; this has stopped.
If there is any soreness or skin problems, first stop is Agnihotra ash mixed with ghee. Skin issues clear up within a day usually.
I find any pain goes away immediately with application of ash and ghee, then reapplied as needed – pain relief that is actually beneficial for the body.

A family member had digestive issues. She could not eat anything other than apples without feeling nauseous. She put Agnihotra ash ointment on her stomach and took Agnihotra ash internally in water. Within a day she could eat normally again.

Our cat became sick after attempting to eat a poisonous frog. She was foaming at the mouth and was semi paralysed. Every couple of hours we gave her a dropper-full of Agnihotra ash water and the next day she was fully recovered.

These big and little miracles happen all the time consistently. I can’t imagine my life without Agnihotra.

Mary Alexandra Brito

Mary: Since I was a child, I have always been connected in one way or another with nature. My first encounter with Homa Therapy was on the terrace of a house surrounded by a mountain filled with trees. The power of Homa Therapy was shown to me by being able to observe the breathing of the trees. This occurred in 1995 and since then I have been connected to Agnihotra.

I am a person who has always come across wild animals; to assist or to give company to them in one way or another.

Seven years ago, we arrived in Panama and settled down on a mountain near the city called Cerro Azul, in Panama. Here you still have the opportunity to meet a great variety of mammals, reptiles, birds and insects. In the surroundings near the city, one can see ñeques, sloths, monkeys …

The place where we are is located is within a national park, so it still conserves a lot of vegetation and wildlife.

The animals come to our home. There are some who arrive just at Agnihotra time. A humming bird usually stops by to sing a few minutes just before sunrise Agnihotra and a momotus, a medium-sized coloured bird, usually makes his presence during sunset Agnihotra.

A momotus

Different types of wild animals usually arrive at our place like tamarind titi monkeys, ñeques, solitary cats and olingos at night; different types of birds; we have a toucan nest and at least two toucans are born every year.

We are sure that they feel the healing and protective Homa energy of our place and feel sheltered. There are other houses nearby, where this does not happen and we are not in the middle of the jungle. Animals often arrive in need of medical assistance or special attention, many of them staying permanently, depending on their condition or until they can return to the wild.

A solitary Nasua (mishasho), visits from time to time

Sam, tamarind marmoset monkey; photo taken upon receiving him with a wound in his mouth and some missing teeth.

The water that we give to the animals and plants is activated with the healing Agnihotra ash. We also spread this ash all over the ground.

At this moment while I am writing this article for the Newsletter, I am waiting for the veterinarian to assist a little monkey (right photo) who came to our house with a large wound on her face that needs stitches. It is one of the many animals that have come seeking assistance.

Hen raising ducklings

We are on our way to settle into a larger place where a Homa Resonance Point will be established and a refuge/ sanctuary will be made for the wild animals of this region and in reforesting the area with native trees, which will serve them as food.

We are in the process of creating a legal association in order to receive formal support.

If you are one of those beings who connect with nature, surely, when doing Agnihotra, you will be guided. Nature is constantly benefiting from the Homa atmosphere, and is constantly giving us signs. As Shree Vasant preceptor of Homa Therapy once said ‘Nature gives a feedback of Love in Homa atmosphere’.

Having done regular work exchange at Om Shree Dham over the last year or so I am totally won over to performing  daily Agnihotra. When not at Om Shree Dham I am faced with the challenge of obtaining dried cow dung for my practice. This lead me to work at drying my own patties.

After many months of perfecting the art of drying cow dung at home, here I believe, is a detailed and efficient way to do so which saves time, energy, money and can make you fully self-sufficient. The following process is using a mini – green house with removable racks. (Can be obtained from Bunnings for $30)

  • With permission from the land owner, I collect fresh Cow dung early in the morning and store in clean sealed buckets to be used the following morning.( Editor- The fresh cow dung is more likely to be free of dung beetles. If dung beetles in cow dung they will make a mess of your patties. If you can best to pat out the same day to avoid fermentation of the cow dung)
  • Pat out on an ‘untreated’, unpainted wooden board or pallet as early as possible to make the most of the shorter days. Before 9am in this example.
  • One hour prior to Agnihotra sunset and as you notice the edges of the patties drying out, begin flipping them on to racks (for aeration) and place in the mini green house. Remember to close the zips down just before sunset to trap the heat and keep the dew out. It’s also a good idea to have it placed on a piece of cardboard to keep the moisture out that rises up from the ground over night. ( Editor- Closing up the space also keeps the dung beetles from flying in to eat the cow dung. They start flying in at sunset)
  • The following morning open the zips to let out the moisture which has been released over night. Notice condensation in the photo. You can also remove the racks if you feel confident it won’t rain and place in a sunny, breezy position. Alternatively, the plastic covering can easily be lifted off to allow more air flow.

When semi dry, break patties in half( exposing more surface area to drying) and place on a rack for better air flow

  • Repeat this process for 3-4 days or until you notice the cow dung is cracking dry just like the patties from Om Shree Dham. A good test is to break the thickest piece and it should be like snapping a cracker. If you squeeze it it shouldn’t be in any way soft or moist.
  • For storage I double up two big plastic bags and keep in a dry place indoors.
  • One cycle can give you almost 3kg of cow dung which provides you with approx 2 months of sunrise and sunset Agnihotra.
  • With a growing number of people practicing Agnihotra everyday it’s always a good idea to dry a bit extra for storage in case somebody in the area may need it or due to a change in weather pattern which prevents you from drying.

I find collecting and patting out my own cow dung is really enjoyable and self empowering. It gives me a feeling that I am carrying out an act of kindness for Mother Earth and there is the satisfaction of self-sufficiency! There is also the possibility that you can provide for others if you want.

Cow dung adventure ie some things to avoid

It seems there’s never a dull morning filling my buckets! As I don’t have a driver’s license I would usually hop in with my friend on the school run with her kids but it was holiday period and the kids were off school so I borrowed a bicycle from a friend which turned out to be a large children’s bike! I arrived at the farm and with the landowner’s permission, even though they were away on holiday, I looked forward to pottering around collecting fresh cow poo. However this time the cows had been put in a different paddock which was heavily fenced and electrified. Having had a little experience with electric fences I eagerly went to grab the red clip off the fence and was absolutely lifted by a jolt from the fence. I was so dazed and it was the strongest electrification from a fence I’d ever experienced! As I was a bit shaken I decided to hop the barbed wire. Half way over the fence it began to sway and knowing I was going to fall I tried to leap off. But my leg got stuck on the fence and it ripped my trousers and cut my leg. At this stage I was pretty all over the place but carried on with the mission haha. I began collecting but first after being roasted with questions by a family member who was minding the property as to why a tall lanky stranger had cycled up on a small girl’s bike to collect cow dung in buckets? After explaining it was for the veggie garden I made my way to the fence line again to head home…. for some daft reason I thought if the red clip shocked me last time then surely it’s the black one? Needless to say I got another bite off the fence! At this stage I was laughing at myself. I dusted myself down and turned off the main switch on the power box before stepping through the fence safely. I then cycled back home having a couple of drivers laughing at the sight of me on the girls bicycle with huge buckets on the handle bars (little did they know what was actually in there) I then patted out and relaxed with a cup of tea reminiscing on the adventure to save the planet. 💛 Adam

Shree Vasant Paranjpe brought Agnihotra to the West as per instructions by his teacher Shree Gajanan Maharaj of Akkalkot, India. He later developed and introduced Homa Therapy to the world as a means to help our ailing planet and humanity by resetting the cycles and biorhythms of nature, facilitating a healthy pollution free environment and giving a powerfully effective means of purifying and uplifting the mind.

Agnihotra is the pivotal practice of Homa Therapy. It is the only Homa that can harvest or attract the flood of Prana (life force) that inundates the atmosphere at sunrise. It is this Prana saturating the atmosphere, that provides nature with the energy to bring herself back into balance, vitalizing and ridding the atmosphere of pollution, toxins and stress. There are 2 other main Homas in Homa Therapy, namely Vyahruti Homa and Om Tryambakam Homa. They add more heightened vibration, fragrance and nutrition to the biosphere thereby fortifying the Prana-filled atmosphere created by twice daily Agnihotra. Agnihotra being the hub of the wheel so to speak, potentizing the other Homas as they are then performed in a Prana-imbued atmosphere rather than in a Prana- depleted and distorted atmosphere.

This video was filmed on location at Om Shree Dham Homa Therapy Centre, NSW, Australia.  https://youtu.be/7ZgeZkB8I18

For individuals, Om Tryambakam Homa is also a great help in naturally creating the witness state in the mind. This reveals our habit patterns, positive and negative, helping one to deal with and heal deep-seated issues. With the pressure in the atmosphere created by all sorts of pollution, including stress, etc. it is recommended that people do daily Agnihotra and 1 hour of Om Tryambakam Homa simply for mind-maintenance and wellbeing. However keep in mind that we cannot perform Om Tryambakam Homa to replace Agnihotra. Always give Agnihotra priority: Om Tryambakam Homa is more like an additional Homa.

In Homa Organic farming Om Tryambakam Homa is performed several hours a day. This fortifies the Homa biosphere with micro-nutrients and heightened vibration helping crops to be more healthy, highly nutritious and tasty.

At Homa Therapy Centres around the world, Agnihotra is performed twice daily and several hours of Om Tryambakam Homa taken in turns. On new moons and Full moons the aim is to conduct 24 hour ceaseless om Tryambakam Homa or as many hours as possible as service to the community by imbuing the atmosphere with positive energy.

The ultimate service is to perform Agnihotra daily and ceaseless Om Tryambakam Homa as is being performed in Tapovan India. There has also been a 17 year ceaseless Om Tryambakam Homa performed in Baltimore, US.

GHEE for the purposes of Homa Therapy must be cow’s ghee only. NB. Many commercial ghees, despite being labelled 100% pure cow’s ghee, have been shown in laboratory tests to be buffed up with other oils, both vegetable and even animal fats. This is not only unsuitable for Homa Therapy but can have a detrimental effect on the atmosphere.

For this reason we recommend one makes one’s own ghee from unsalted butter. If possible, Organic product is the best.

If your only option is to purchase readymade ghee we recommend you choose Australian or NZ brands as most of the dairies in these countries are cow dairies as opposed to having a mixture of cow, goat and buffalo which is often the case in India and some Asian countries.

NZ or Australian manufactured ghee should be OK if it says all dairy is sourced from Australia and NZ.  Stay away from brands that state that the dairy is sourced from Australia/NZ as well as overseas sources. There also must be no additives to the ghee such as salt.

A reliable Australian brand is Allowrie ghee and also Sol ghee which is often found in organic grocery stores or can be purchased on–line. Sol ghee is available as an organic product. It also comes non–organic and the latter is therefore more affordable for some. https://www.solorganics.com.au/

Ghee available now from Om  Shree Dham. This is from outside sourced butter and made into ghee here at Om Shree Dham while uttering Sanskrit mantra. They are ¼ kg  glass jars.  It is not listed on our website shop yet. Email us for details.

NB Regular practice of Agnihotra creates a biosphere full of Prana and micro- nutrients in perfect balance. This provides the foundation for performing the other Homas in Homa Therapy such as Vyahruti Homa and Om Tryambakam Homa. These derive their potency of effectiveness from the foundation that ongoing regular practice of Agnihotra creates.

Om Tryambakam Homa cannot attract the flood of Prana. This can only be attracted through sunrise and sunset Agnihotra practice.

Om Tryambakam Homa fortifies the Homa biosphere with more nutrition, fragrance and heightened vibration from the ongoing mantras being broadcast through the Homa. Om Tryambakam Homa is also a wonderful aid to purifying the mind, helping one to go into the witness state, leading to equilibrium and peace.
