Agnihotra at Freeform Arts Festival

We received the following story from Josh Maltby:

Freeform Arts Festival was founded in order to tie together the vast East Coast creative arts community and increase diversity in our local artistic landscape.

Freeform Arts is intended to serve as a connection point and a meeting place for the numerous cells and pockets of East Coast creative arts communities to unite and interact with each other. The goal is to create a more tightly knit, well-connected culture across the region.

The festival was held in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania, from June 12-16th. Dozens of workshops were held on numerous topics, from the practical, the creative, the spiritual to the bizarre. Agnihotra seemed a good fit. Continue reading “Agnihotra at Freeform Arts Festival”

Agnihotra – An Amazing Journey

The following testimonial is from Heather Penny, Virginia, U.S.A.

Agnihotra!

Where do I start? What an amazing journey and adventure.

Agnihotra is an experience that I have been looking for my entire adult life; I had no idea that it would come in the form of a FIRE! Agni landed on our doorstep just 3 months ago on March 14, 2014 when Lisa and Richard Powers came to our home to share with me and my husband about the practice. 40th Anniversary of Parama Dham Fire Temple, Madison, VA, USA

Sunday, September 22nd, 2013 marked the 40th anniversary of the Parama Dham Fire Temple in Madison, Virginia. Inaugurated by Shree Vasant in 1973, Parama Dham was the first Fire Temple in the world established under Parama Sadguru Shree Gajanan Maharaj’s dispensation of resuscitation of the ancient science of atmospheric purification for the New Age. The name Parama Dham, which means House of Almighty Father, was chosen by Maharaj Shree.

In a Fire Temple there is no priest and nothing is worshipped. Agnihotra atmospheric purification technique is performed there twice daily at sunrise and sunset. Also, a fixed set of Mantras is chanted after Agnihotra. With the exception of the Mantras, silence is observed in the Fire Temple at all times. The atmosphere becomes surcharged with healing energies. Continue reading “40th Anniversary of Parama Dham Fire Temple, Madison, VA, USA”

Firing the Grid – Agnihotras around the World on September Equinox, 2013

On September 21 & 22, 2013 Agnihotra practitioners from around the globe participated in a network of Agnihotra being performed on the September Equinox. The aim was to create a grid of Sacred Fires or ‘firing the grid’ and to ideally have two waves of Agnihotra fires moving around the planet (one for sunrise, one for sunset).
We received many responses from people all over the world informing their coordinates. We were amazed to find every continent represented, and people from Alaska to Africa, from Europe to U.S.A., Australia to Russia, Japan to Hawaii. There were more than 450 Meridiens of Longitude represented with Agnihotra Fires in more than 50 countries. There may have been more that we were unaware of. Agnihotra in Manhattan, NY

Michelle Balandra writes:
“We had a wonderful Agnihotra meeting. The sunset was beautiful! We did Agnihotra in another park, this time in Manhattan.

Lately, whenever we choose a place where to practice Agnihotra, right before sunset, we have seen a red bird come really close to us. I have seen it like 5 times! It is red like the fire and sooo beautiful. I am sure it is a reminder of the harmony of nature and humans that is established every time we do the Homa fire. Ii is such a beautiful blessing!”
Following photo arrived from Manhattan, NY and was sent by Michelle and Cecibel Balandra.
